Introducing the BASF PR team: Casey Allen

Get to know the face behind BASF's external communications efforts

You receive emails, phone calls, newsletters, DMs and many other forms of communication from the BASF, and by extension, its agency partner PR team. We thought it would be polite to share a bit of information about each of us to help differentiate who to contact for certain subject matters, crops or events. First up is Casey Allen. Casey joined BASF back in August of 2018 after BASF finalized its acquisition of certain Bayer assets.

 

What is your title?
Dragon Slayer, aka BASF External Communications Manager.

 

What crop divisions do you work on for BASF?
I directly support our portfolios for cotton, wheat and rice, and I also support our portfolio of seed treatments. But as a member of our media relations team, you can contact me about anything.

 

What university did you graduate from?
I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne College (now University) with an International Business degree.

 

How long have you been working in public relations?
I have been working in PR since 2007.

 

What are your favorite hobbies?
My hobbies are doing anything with my kids.

 

What’s a fun fact about you?
I’m fluent in Spanish.

 

What do you love about working in agriculture?
Everyone who works in agriculture is in the industry because they have a passion for it, and it’s contagious.
