The coolest show on earth

Visit us at the BASF Media Tent and Living Acres Garden during the Farm Progress Show

It’s going to be a hot time at Farm Progress Show…with some cool rewards.

Once again this year we’re hosting a Media Step Challenge, and you don’t want to miss out on the chance to win some cool prizes. This year’s show is August 28-30, so as soon as you get to the show in Boone, IA, stop by the BASF Media Tent to pick up your free pedometer and start stepping. Prizes to the step winners include gift cards, hydration packs and a smart watch.

Be sure to pick up one of our  Survival Kits to keep you cool during the show, with items ranging from sunscreen to hats. And speaking of keeping cool, when the day’s heat becomes too tiresome, stop back and take a break from your steps at the BASF Media Tent. Enjoy much-needed air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and cool refreshments as you discuss important topics with BASF’s spokespeople.

  • Scott Kay, BASF Vice President of Agricultural Solutions, U.S. will be in attendance to discuss the acquisition of Bayer’s seed portfolio.
  • Chad Asmus, BASF Technical Marketing Manager, will be on hand to discuss the 2018 season with dicamba and the role of Engenia® herbicide stewardship.

Other featured events:

Don’t miss our farmer panel on Wednesday, August 29, at 8:30 a.m. CT. Scott Kay will moderate a panel discussion at the BASF Media Tent stage where two Iowa growers will share an update on their growing season, their experience with Engenia herbicide the last two seasons and their thoughts on the recent acquisition. Scott Kay and the  farmers will be available after the 30-minute panel for interviews.

As you get your steps in, head to the entrance of the show where you’ll find the Living Acres Garden. Chip Shilling, BASF Sustainability Strategy Manager, will be available for interviews, to discuss the southern monarch migration and fall milkweed planting.

In addition, Living Acres will conduct a mini-#MonarchChallenge. The first 200 people to sign up for the #MonarchChallenge at the show will receive a free shipment of milkweed seedlings.

If you have any questions or if you would like to set up an interview with a BASF spokesperson, please contact Liz Asher, easher@periscope.com, or Celia Hubbartt, chubbartt@periscope.com.

See you at the show!
