BASF introduces Vault® Peanut Liquid Inoculant and Velondis™ Plus Biofungicide

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., December 4, 2023 – BASF Agricultural Solutions will deliver enhanced peanut performance with the introduction of Vault® Peanut Liquid Inoculant and Velondis™ Plus Biofungicide for the 2024 season, adding to BASF’s industry-leading biological portfolio. Vault Peanut Liquid and Velondis Plus Biofungicide work together to suppress rhizoctonia and fusarium while improving peanut root vigor and nutrient uptake, providing maximum yield potential.

Now with two EPA-registered biofungicides, B. amyloliquifaciens and B. subtili, Vault Peanut Liquid and Velondis Plus Biofungicide provide even more support for healthy, vigorous roots to maximize water and nutrient uptake in the plant. Biologicals produce a beneficial biofilm and antimicrobial components promoting Induced Systemic Resistance (ISR) within the plant to extend protection beyond early fungicide treatment. The advanced inoculant strain found in Vault seed treatment, Bradyrhizobia arachis, augments nitrogen efficiently to help maximize nodulation for added yield potential.

When combined, the differential modes of action of the three biological actives can contribute to complementary activity with certain chemical seed treatments, resulting in increased and more uniform field performance. Both biofungicide active components grow along the developing root system and can extend the window of disease protection longer into the growing season. The plants produce a more more mature peg development, often resulting in more uniform stands, improved plant growth, and greater yield potential.
