Activate Good is a nonprofit that connects people who want to help with causes that need support, bridging the gap between compassion and impact.

Activate Good identifies community needs, mobilizes changemakers of all ages, and provides education to help individuals and groups take meaningful action. BASF Agricultural Solutions is a member of Triangle Business for Good (TBG), a mix of local businesses actively supporting Activate Good.

Over 138,000 people in Wake County alone face hunger every day. The Food Bank nourishes people facing hunger with healthy, versatile and culturally-familiar foods, building solutions to reduce poverty throughout the region, and empowering communities to address hunger through outreach, advocacy and organizing for long-term change.

The state’s museum devoted to science and nature, the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in central Raleigh is the largest institution of its kind in the Southeastern United States and, with over a million visitors a year, the state’s most visited museum. BASF is the lead sponsor their largest signature event, Bugfest, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each September to downtown Raleigh.

The Feeding America nationwide network of over 200 food banks and pantries help make healthier food easier to access. There is more to ending hunger than just food, so Feeding America partners with organizations to address underlying causes of hunger so people can thrive. Ensuring everyone can get the food they need, Feeding America advocates for policies that improve food security for all.

Through programs that promote professional development, career exploration and networking for college students studying agriculture, AFA shapes transformational leaders in food and agriculture to make a positive impact.

2025 marked the 30^th year anniversary of AFA and BASF actively hires for our intern and professional development program through AFA.

FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education. FFA develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real-world success. Members are future farmers, chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, teachers and premier professionals in many career fields.

BASF has a 75-year history of supporting FFA, and we have over 230 alumni and supporters reflected in our staff across the country.

MANRRS is a national society that welcomes membership of people of all racial and ethnic group participation in agricultural and related science careers. MANRRS offers students opportunities to enhance leadership and organizational and public speaking skills, and to experience professional critique of scholarly work in a “user friendly” environment. Members of this society pledge to support endeavors that will always foster and promote agricultural sciences and related fields in a positive manner among ethnic minorities.
