Wheat growers gathered in Bismarck, North Dakota, for Wheat U

A day of learning from wheat industry leaders

Sponsored by BASF, Wheat U™ brings growers together to learn agronomic and management information to take back to their operations. Attendees got an overview on what is happening in the world of wheat; from new practices and technology to trade, tariffs and marketing.

The day began with a panel of high-achieving growers, from whom attendees learned top production tips and tricks. Breakout sessions throughout the day featured BASF speakers including Logan Grier, technical marketing manager; Andrew Adams, technical services representative; as well as several speakers from North Dakota State University Extension.

Topics ranged from the current state of wheat markets to best timing for fungicide applications. Over lunch, attendees heard updates on the Farm Bill. The day concluded with a panel discussion from a local brewing company discussing how wheat quality characteristics translate to quality beer brewing.
