BASF wins Distinguished Service Citation at 92nd National FFA Convention
“Our partnership with BASF is so important to National FFA because they give their time, talent and financial support at all levels,” said Molly Ball, president of the National FFA foundation. “For this reason, among others, they were recently awarded the 2019 Distinguished Service Citation at the National FFA Convention & Expo for continuing to be an outstanding sponsor. In addition, BASF was also an inaugural supporter of the FFA Blue Room and helped make it successful while introducing thousands of teachers and members to new agriculture technology.”
According to the FFA, its renowned Blue Room “…exposes students to the careers of the future, equips chapters with new resources, and inspires FFA to find innovative solutions to tomorrow’s challenges.”
“BASF works closely with the FFA in preparing the next leaders in agriculture,” said Carrie Gray, BASF Community Relations Manager. “As one of our four pillars in giving, FFA fits nicely into our science and ag education priority. We are proud of our partnership with FFA, and to support students who might one day be our team members or our customers.”
BASF will continue its engagement with FFA on local and national levels. In February of 2020, BASF employees will speak at events held during National FFA Week. BASF will also continue to be involved with FFA BASF Camps and Checkpoints, which are training conferences for student leaders.
