BASF Seed Solutions team unites at ASTA’s CSS 2018 & Seed Expo

New products added to the Seed Solutions portfolio provide a total solution

A month ago, BASF attended ASTA’s CSS 2018 & Seed Expo in Chicago, Illinois to showcase a newly expanded Seed Solutions portfolio, in addition to new seed traits. Over 2,300 seed and seed treatment experts attended the show, and BASF was excited to share what they have to offer to growers.

“The Seed Solutions portfolio is as robust and healthy as it’s ever been,” said Martin Horrocks, Director of Seed Solutions North America, BASF. “With the full seed treatment offerings BASF can provide to growers, we now view ourselves as a leader in seed treatments.”

Overall, BASF Seed Solutions offers a broad portfolio of seed treatments that protect, unlock and enhance the potential of the seed. Within the portfolio, BASF offers fungicides, insecticides, nematicides, inoculants, colorants and functional coatings.

“In addition to our tried and proven seed treatments, we’re really excited to be launching five new products in the next two years,” said Kerry Grossweiler, Marketing Lead, U.S. Seed Solutions, BASF. “We’re especially thrilled with our soybean seed treatment portfolio. We can now offer soybean growers a complete solution.”

Among those five products are two products recently launched earlier this month, Vault® IP Plus and Obvius® Plus soybean seed treatments. In addition to several seed treatment products from the recent acquisition, including ILeVO® and Poncho/VOTiVO 2.0® seed treatments, the portfolio has expanded to encompass a broader range of products under one unified team.

“If I look at our organization and the talent we have, we’re proud of the folks who came over from Bayer and those from BASF that are still with us,” said Horrocks. “All of the combined technology and research in one organization, allows us to really think and focus on the customer. To deliver solutions customers want.”
