- New Liberty® Lock Formulation locks 3x more herbicide into pigweed vs generic glufosinate.1
- Wins 9 out of 10 head-to-heads and provides 20% superior weed control versus generics.2
- Half as likely as a generic glufosinate to require a respray.2
Liberty® ULTRA herbicide, Powered by Glu-L™ Technology, is the next-generation glufosinate herbicide for the next-generation grower. As the first resolved isomer of glufosinate in the US row crop market, you have the freedom to use it on nearly all soybean, cotton, corn and canola trait systems. Your future success starts with Liberty ULTRA herbicide.

Glu-L Technology Refines Glufosinate: The patented manufacturing process transforms glufosinate inefficiencies and makes room in formulation loading to allow a use rate reduction of Liberty® ULTRA herbicide vs generic glufosinate
Boosts Operational Efficiency: Lower use rate boosts operational efficiency to allow applicators to cover more acres and make more applications
Liberty ULTRA herbicide, Powered by Glu-L Technology allows you to do more with less product
The Liberty Lock Formulation, designed specifically for Liberty ULTRA herbicide improves performance by boosting droplet coverage, dispersion and retention ultimately driving 3x more active ingredient into pigweed vs generic glufosinate.
The Liberty Lock Formulation locks spray droplets onto leaves and into weeds and is responsible for the 20% weed control advantage of Liberty ULTRA over generic glufosinate.
Liberty ULTRA is the best, most flexible knockdown herbicide available across the majority of corn, soybean, cotton and canola acres. Set up Liberty ULTRA for success in a robust herbicide program that includes residual herbicides at planting and in postemergence applications.

Liberty ULTRA herbicide is a Group 10 herbicide, containing L-glufosinate-ammonium, along with a patented surfactant blend.
Liberty ULTRA herbicide is available for use on canola, corn, sweet corn, cotton, soybeans and sugarbeets.
No, Liberty ULTRA herbicide does not contain a residual. BASF does recommend Liberty ULTRA herbicide be used as part of a total systems approach, including pre- and post-residual herbicides to incorporate multiple, effective herbicide modes of action (MOA).
When applying post-emergence, BASF recommends applying Liberty ULTRA herbicide at an application rate of 24 fluid ounces per acre, with a spray volume of at least 20 gallons of carrier per acre and a nozzle droplet size of medium-to-coarse-sized droplets for good coverage on the weed surface.

Mixing order matters when preparing your spray solution to avoid unintended consequences of incompatible products, resulting in inconvenient downtime. A great way to remember the proper mixing order is to follow the D.A.L.E.S. method: dry products first, followed by AMS, liquid and SC herbicide formulations, emulsifiable concentrates and, lastly, surfactants.
When it comes to nozzle selection, speed and pressure should drive your nozzle choice for the best coverage. For Liberty ULTRA herbicide, that means a nozzle that provides medium- to coarse-size droplets for uniform and thorough weed coverage, such as the examples in the table below.
Liberty ULTRA herbicide is a light-activated herbicide, which means the time of day you apply is important to maximize efficacy of application. While higher temperatures and relative humidity are also important, sunlight is the main driver of Liberty ULTRA herbicide activity in weeds and its overall effectiveness. Ideal timing for Liberty ULTRA herbicide is two hours after sunrise and two hours before sunset.
Liberty ULTRA herbicide is rainfast four (4) hours after application for most weed species.
Liberty ULTRA kills types of broadleaf, grassy, biennial and perennial weeds.
