Liberty® ULTRA herbicide, Powered by Glu-L™ Technology is the-next generation glufosinate herbicide for the next-generation grower. As the first resolved isomer of glufosinate in the US row crop market, you have the freedom to use it on nearly all soybean, cotton, corn and canola trait systems. Your future success starts with Liberty ULTRA herbicide.
Liberty ULTRA herbicide powered by Glu-LTM Technology is the next-generation herbicide for the next-generation grower. Freedom to use on nearly all soybean, cotton, corn and canola trait systems, it is the #1 post-emergence herbicide on the market.
With a best-in-class formulation, Liberty ULTRA helps retain spray droplets, encourages adequate droplet spreading and increases uptake of active ingredient for up to 15% weed control advantage over generic glufosinate.
Our program recommendation will guide you to the right program for your acre. Get the best control of tough and resistant weeds with the optimal herbicide program for your acres.
By using Liberty ULTRA herbicide as part of the Enlist® E3 system, farmers will obtain superior weed control and do their part to sustain long-term efficacy. Give farmers the best control of tough and resistant weeds. Additionally they should include layering their residual herbicides and incorporate multiple, effective herbicide modes of action (MOA).
LIberty ULTRA herbicide should be used as part of of the total XtendFlex® system approach with the addition of pre and post residual herbicides as well as multiple, effective herbicide modes of action (MOA).
Liberty ULTRA herbicide is available for across today's cotton trait platforms, including Axant™ Flex, Enlist®, GlyTol®, LibertyLink® and XtendFlex®, and should be used as part of a comprehensive, integrated weed management program that includes pre- and post-residual herbicides.
Liberty ULTRA herbicide use on InVigor® canola hybrids with the LibertyLink® trait provides an excellent means for growers to rotate non-selective herbicide systems to effectively manage tough-to-control weeds.
The LibertyLink® system couples high-performing genetics with the superior performance of Liberty® ULTRA herbicide, resulting in superior weed control of tough-to-control and resistant weeds for high corn yields that deliver.

Liberty ULTRA herbicide is a Group 10 herbicide, containing L-glufosinate-ammonium, along with a patented surfactant blend.
Liberty ULTRA herbicide is available for use on canola, corn, sweet corn, cotton, soybeans and sugarbeets.
No, Liberty ULTRA herbicide does not contain a residual. BASF does recommend Liberty ULTRA herbicide be used as part of a total systems approach, including pre- and post-residual herbicides to incorporate multiple, effective herbicide modes of action (MOA).
When applying post-emergence, BASF recommends applying Liberty ULTRA herbicide at an application rate of 24 fluid ounces per acre, with a spray volume of at least 20 gallons of carrier per acre and a nozzle droplet size of medium-to-coarse-sized droplets for good coverage on the weed surface.

Mixing order matters when preparing your spray solution to avoid unintended consequences of incompatible products, resulting in inconvenient downtime. A great way to remember the proper mixing order is to follow the D.A.L.E.S. method: dry products first, followed by AMS, liquid and SC herbicide formulations, emulsifiable concentrates and, lastly, surfactants.
When it comes to nozzle selection, speed and pressure should drive your nozzle choice for the best coverage. For Liberty ULTRA herbicide, that means a nozzle that provides medium- to coarse-size droplets for uniform and thorough weed coverage, such as the examples in the table below.
Liberty ULTRA herbicide is a light-activated herbicide, which means the time of day you apply is important to maximize efficacy of application. While higher temperatures and relative humidity are also important, sunlight is the main driver of Liberty ULTRA herbicide activity in weeds and its overall effectiveness. Ideal timing for Liberty ULTRA herbicide is two hours after sunrise and two hours before sunset.
Liberty ULTRA herbicide is rainfast four (4) hours after application for most weed species.
Liberty ULTRA kills types of broadleaf, grassy, biennial and perennial weeds.
