ClearPro Rice Challenge by BASF

Clearfield® and Provisia® rice growers know one thing’s for sure:

Great rice varieties mean more than just great yields. When it comes time to deliver rice to the mill, growers know quality is important, too. That’s why we created the ClearPro Rice Challenge by BASF.

Here’s all you need to do: Produce at least 20 acres of a single Clearfield® or Provisia® rice variety and turn in your mill sheet with the enrollment form. If you make it into the top 10% of scores for your state, you'll qualify for the club. Have the best score for either herbicide program in your state? You’ll become a Rice Challenge Champion.

All that's left to do is apply. Deadline to submit is November 15, 2021.

To enter, you must meet the following criteria:

The ClearPro Rice Challenge by BASF (the “Contest”) is open to: legal residents of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas who are 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry, and meet all of the following criteria:
  1. A Party in good standing (i.e., not in breach) to a current BASF Clearfield® Rice Stewardship Grower Agreement or a Provisia® Rice System Stewardship Grower Agreement, as applicable to the rice variety entered in the Contest;
  2. Between January 1, 2021 and November 15, 2021, farm a minimum of 20 acres of a variety of Clearfield rice or Provisia rice sold by or on behalf of Horizon Ag LLC;
  3. Plant 100% of a single Clearfield or Provisia rice variety sold by or on behalf of Horizon Ag LLC on the 20 (or more) qualifying acres;
  4. Provide mill recap sheets to verify yield; and
  5. Complete, sign and timely submit this 2021 ClearPro Rice Challenge by BASF enrollment form (the “Enrollment Form”).

Contestants may submit only one Enrollment Form.  However, each Enrollment Form may include both a qualifying Clearfield rice variety and a qualifying Provisia rice variety (i.e., one contestant may submit a single Enrollment Form for a qualifying Clearfield rice variety and/or a qualifying Provisia rice variety).  All Contest criteria (including but not limited to the 20-acre minimum) must be met for each such qualifying variety. Growers who produce rice in multiple states will only be recognized in the state for which the highest score (as determined in accordance with the 2021 ClearPro Rice Challenge by BASF Official Contest Rules) was submitted.

Ratoon crops are not eligible for the Contest.  Only grower’s first rice crop harvest may be submitted for participation in the Contest.  Any entry reflecting or including a ratoon crop will be disqualified from the Contest.
