What is the active ingredient in Voraxor™ herbicide? What is the mode of action?

Voraxor herbicide contains our newest active ingredient, trifludimoxazin (a Group 14 herbicide), and is combined with our well-known active ingredient, saflufenacil (a Group 14 herbicide). Trifludimoxazin has novel binding properties to enhance activity, especially on herbicide-resistant weeds. This dual combination provides speed and versatility, ultra-low rates and safe-to-use chemistry while being flexible across multiple crops and tank-mixtures.

On what crops is Voraxor herbicide registered?

Voraxor herbicide is labeled for use in corn, soybeans, grain sorghum, small grains and legume vegetables, as well as in postharvest and fallow.

Does Voraxor herbicide have a residual?

Voraxor herbicide is designed to provide strong burndown of emerged weeds. Voraxor herbicide can also provide short-term residual, but for best results, BASF recommends tank-mixing with a product like Zidua® SC herbicide to manage weeds before emergence.

What weeds are controlled by Voraxor herbicide?

Voraxor herbicide controls over 90 broadleaf weeds including marestail, Palmer amaranth, waterhemp and kochia, along with activity on certain grass species. Refer to the product label for a complete list.

Does Voraxor herbicide control grasses?

Voraxor herbicide controls some grass species. However, BASF recommends tank-mixing with glyphosate to fully control emerged grasses.

What is the recommended use rate for Voraxor herbicide?

BASF recommends 1.4 fluid ounces per acre (fl oz/A), with a spray volume of at least 15 gallons of water per acre and a nozzle droplet size of coarse to very-coarse. Refer to the product label for complete guidelines.

Does the use rate of Voraxor herbicide vary by soil type?

Yes, apply Voraxor herbicide at 1.0 fl oz/A on coarse or low organic matter soils (less than 2%) and 1.0 to 1.4 fl oz/A on all other soil types.

How long before Voraxor herbicide is rainfast?

Voraxor herbicide is rainfast one hour after application. Burndown activity may be reduced if rain or irrigation occurs within one hour of application.

Mixing and Equipment Guidance

What are the appropriate mixing instructions for Voraxor herbicide?

Voraxor herbicide is formulated as a water-based suspension concentrate. To ensure compatibility and avoid downtime, follow the D.A.L.E.S. method for mixing: Dry products → Ammonium sulfate (AMS) → Liquids/SC  formulations → Emulsifiable concentrates → Surfactants.

Does Voraxor herbicide require the use of any adjuvants?

Yes, for optimum burndown performance with Voraxor herbicide, AMS and methylated seed oil (MSO) must be used.

What are the recommended nozzles to use for the best coverage of Voraxor herbicide?
