Applications open for four academic scholarships

 

BASF understands the importance of creating opportunities for talented individuals interested in joining the agriculture industry. To help the next generation of students achieve their goals, BASF has partnered with four commodity organizations to create scholarships for current ag enthusiasts.

Jerry Minore Scholarship
BASF and the National Wheat Foundation are excited to present for the fifth year the Jerry Minore Memorial Scholarship, which honors high school and college students who have demonstrated success in academics and leadership roles.

 

This scholarship is named in honor of Jerry Minore, a former BASF employee who was very passionate about wheat. In Jerry’s honor, the Minore Memorial Scholarship funds two $1,500 scholarships and two $1,000 scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year. NCGA William C. Berg Academic Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship
The NCGA William C. Berg Academic Excellence in Agriculture Scholarship honors five undergraduate and graduate students with a drive to make their mark in the agriculture industry. For the first time, NCGA is now accepting applications from students pursuing degrees in all subject areas, including those outside of agriculture. National Sorghum Foundation / BASF Scholarship
The National Sorghum Foundation and BASF are proud to highlight the next generation of sorghum producers. Students who are a child or grandchild of a National Sorghum Producer member are encouraged to apply for this scholarship by December 1. Interested students can learn more here.

 

Soy Scholarship
The 2019-20 Soy Scholarship is a $5,000 one-time scholarship award presented to an eligible high school senior who is planning to pursue a degree in agriculture at an accredited college or university. Eligible students can learn more and apply for the scholarship by November 19, 2018 by clicking here.
